President William Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet has launched a blistering attack on Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing the two of sabotaging the Kenya Kwanza administration and opposing government programmes that benefit ordinary Kenyans.
Speaking on Saturday, September 20, 2026, during a Women and Boda Boda Empowerment Meeting in Butere Sub-County, Kibet alleged that Nyoro and Gachagua were part of a network that had been benefiting from fuel-importation businesses.
Kibet claimed the two had been involved in the importation of what he described as substandard fuel from other countries, allegations that he did not substantiate during his address.According to Kibet, their criticism of President Ruto’s administration intensified after the government disrupted businesses he claimed had benefited a few individuals.

“They are crying all over because President William Ruto has closed all their businesses for the sake of Kenyans,” Kibet said.
His remarks come amid an ongoing political dispute over Kenya’s fuel-importation arrangements, with Nyoro having publicly raised questions about the government’s handling of the sector.
Kibet accused Nyoro of backing Gachagua despite what he described as their failure to support the government’s development agenda.
Senator Eddy Oketch, who spoke at the same empowerment meeting, echoed Kibet’s criticism, accusing Gachagua and Nyoro of promoting tribal politics and opposing government programmes because they allegedly benefited from fuel-importation businesses.
Oketch urged the two leaders to stop opposing government projects, arguing that development should benefit communities across the country.
The leaders also used the Butere meeting to rally residents behind President Ruto ahead of the 2027 General Election. They argued that the President’s development record was increasingly visible in Western Kenya, pointing to the revival of industries and other government-backed projects in the region.

Kibet and Oketch urged women and boda boda operators to support Ruto’s administration, saying continued government support would create more opportunities and improve livelihoods.
The meeting brought together women and boda boda operators as part of an empowerment initiative, while also providing a platform for Ruto allies to intensify their political mobilisation in Western Kenya ahead of the 2027 polls.
