Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka has stepped up efforts to expand electricity access in the constituency after inspecting ongoing Last-Mile Connectivity works in Eshitimba Village, Kisa Central Ward.
Aseka toured the project on 18th September 2026 and engaged residents during a public participation forum, where locals raised development priorities, community needs and concerns over the progress of projects across the area.
Aseka said reliable electricity remains critical to improving livelihoods, supporting businesses, enhancing security and creating new opportunities for residents.
“Access to reliable electricity remains a key pillar in improving livelihoods, supporting businesses, enhancing security and creating opportunities for our communities,” he said.
The MP pledged to continue working closely with residents to ensure their priorities are addressed and development projects are implemented effectively.
He said his focus remained on ensuring development in Khwisero is people-centred, with residents actively involved in identifying and prioritising projects that directly affect their lives.The public participation forum provided residents with an opportunity to engage their MP directly on development needs and the progress of ongoing projects across the area.

The Last-Mile Electricity Connectivity works are expected to bring power closer to more households, businesses and other facilities in Eshitimba and surrounding areas, potentially boosting economic activity and improving security.
Aseka reiterated his commitment to maintaining regular engagement with residents as he follows up on development projects and community priorities across Khwisero.
