Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka has issued a stern warning to men he alleges are pursuing schoolgirls in the constituency, saying adults who target minors will face the full force of the law.

Aseka said he was alarmed by reports of older men allegedly luring school-going girls into relationships using money, gifts and other incentives, warning that the trend threatens the education and future of young people.

Speaking in Elukanji, the MP said girls must be protected from adults who seek to exploit them, describing children as an important foundation for the future development of the community.

Aseka has previously described the alleged practice as a growing threat in Khwisero and said he was working with security agencies and local administrators to protect children.

“Our boys and girls are not hunting grounds for ageing predators who think their wealth gives them access to young bodies,” Aseka said.

He further warned adults involved with minors: “Be warned. If you are an adult engaging with a minor in Khwisero, your days are numbered.”Aseka has also called on residents and local administrators to report suspected cases, saying the community cannot remain silent while children are allegedly being drawn into sexual relationships with adults.

“Arrests must be made. Charges must be pressed. Let’s protect our children,” he said.

The MP has also raised concerns over allegations that some older women are pursuing school-going boys.

In September 2025, Aseka was reported to have specifically raised concerns about older women allegedly targeting Form Three boys and luring them into relationships. His office said it was working with the area security team to protect the affected boys.

Aseka said the problem cuts across both genders, warning that adults who engage minors risk derailing their education and exposing them to exploitation.

“I want to tell men that we have a lot of mature women in Khwisero,” Aseka said, urging adults to pursue relationships with people of an appropriate age.

He similarly urged women to seek relationships with adult men rather than schoolboys.

Aseka has linked the alleged relationships between adults and schoolchildren to school dropouts, teenage pregnancies and the disruption of young people’s education.

His concerns have also been echoed in later reporting on Khwisero, where Aseka cited teenage pregnancies and alleged defilement cases as a growing challenge in the constituency.

The MP has called on parents, teachers, chiefs, religious leaders and other community members to take a more active role in protecting children.

“We cannot rely on the police alone. The home is the first defence line,” he said.

Aseka’s warning comes amid his broader campaign against what he describes as sexual exploitation of school-going children, with the MP saying protecting minors must take priority over adults’ personal interests.
